I suspect bad gas struts, but there is no operators manual with the unit and I don't want to break something by using a hoist if there is something holding it.

thanks for the reply.I can actually lift the arms by using the override cable so i can tilt the cab. there is a little square electrical box mounted on the plate that sits over top of the valve. there is also what looks like a selenoid that is mounted directly on top of the valve. it is a series 3. I need to figure out how to lift the arms/bucket to tilt the cab also? Recently bought a regular Case 430 and have been looking it over. This is the first skid steer I've owned and I'm excited to have it. I went to give it a bath and I couldn't believe how much crap had accumulated in the tub! Must've been 2 .
