I just bought a 1 ton chinese mini excavator today at an online auction. I have watched a bunch of videos and they seem to hold up quite well and have a briggs and straton engine which is easy to get parts for.

From my experience the Isuzu 4JB1 is a good engine as long as it is maintained. Probably as good as the Kubota and as an 843 owner/user I have been satisfied with it so far. Click to expand. The engine that came with this machine is a 2004 Isuzu, C 240 Diesel, which I've done a lot of work on, and now runs like a charm. I have managed to get some of the hydraulic lines installed in their proper locations, but still having some issues with that system.
