I have a CAT 287C skid steer with 1160 hours.:I use mostly for land clearing and bush hogging. I have a warning light on, its an flashing exclamation point. The manual only says its a "level 2 warning" and has no information on the cause or remedy for this problem.. I just bought a 2008 287c with 1900 hours a few days ago, when i was test driving it in 2nd gear you could smell something like rubber burning, coming from the AC vents. It was also slowing down as i drove it and it would come to a stop. I have a CAT 287C that was running perfectly until a drive motor hose blew. Machine was stopped immediately and was not moved until CAT replaced the blown hose. After that the machine will not spin or drive straight and the brakes engage randomly on either side when just crawling forward.
