Hi, last week I bought a Bobcat 453 -99 with only 1000h, but the hydraulic system for lift/tilts is very slow, 12 seconds for full lift, in the manual is says 5sec. The oil looks like whipped milk (when the oil is hot), the driving of the machine is ok, so I guess it must be time .It just takes a very small bit of oil moving in the hydraulic circuit to slow the rest of the functio. It will snail around and lift (not much) but once I turn the throttle up the hydraulics stop respo.
My new holland l454 skisteer developed really slow hydraulic lift and bucket .

The oil looks like whipped milk (when the oil is hot), the driving of the machine is ok, so I guess it must be time for a oli and filter change? or a valve that does not open enough? My new holland l454 skisteer developed really slow hydraulic lift and bucket movement. The hydraulic charge light is coming on. It drives just fine. It just takes a very small bit of oil moving in the hydraulic circuit to slow the rest of the function down on that unit because of the low flow rates of the pump. Check the linkage of the pedals for slop and insure that the spools are being move through the full range of movement.
Hi, I have a John Deere 250 skidsteer. The hydraulics are very slow after operating for a short time. The gear pump was replaced 50 hours ago plus new. It will snail around and lift (not much) but once I turn the throttle up the hydraulics stop responding. I drained the fluid and replaced both filters and the problem is still there. The belt is in almost new condition. I have a 320 skid steer that is having a Hydraulic issue. I can release the park brake and the machine will drive properly, but the bucket will not curl or the boom will not raise or lower. If you make the machine bounce it will start working. What could be the cause for this? Maybe cut the hydraulic filter open and inspect for particles in the pleats of the filter media..?
Then turn the key to the run position without starting it and rock the foot pedals to relieve hydraulic pressure on the lines. Next remove your tilt cylinder to qtach pins and allow your qtach to drop down.

Another primary culprit of skid steer issues is the hydraulic system. If the skid steer loader isn’t working correctly, the hydraulic fluid level is often at fault. Ensure the fluid level isn’t underfilled or overfilled, as hydraulic systems perform best when they have the exact amount of fluid recommended by the equipment’s manufacturer.Learn how to identify and fix common problems with your skid steer hydraulic motors, such as leaks, noise, vibration, and lack of power. Find out how to prevent damage and replace your final drive hydraulic motor if needed.
