I am looking at building a mini skid steer loader type machine as a bit of a side . A real mini tracked skid steer is a far cry from a lawnmower with a loader. You can’t buy the stuff to build a good skid steer for less than buying a used one. If the end goal is to have a skid steer just buy one. If the goal is you want the challenge of building one than that’s different.

Before coming to this site I had seen a home build skid steer at this site Mini Skid Steer but the downside to these plans is the guy doesn't seem to forthcoming at parting with a set of plans only if you purchase the full kit but there lies a problem I cannot justify purchasing steel from Canada and shipping it to the UK when I can buy same .
I've been trying to find plans or templates for a homemade grapple. I've been taking measurements off skid-steer grapples and measuring my quick connect on my Kubota tractor. I found this video on youtube. If I had some measurements/templates this video would be a perfect how-to on building one. It cost me about 0 for the materials to build a dirt bucket, and countless hours. If I didn't enjoy doing that kinda stuff there'd be no good reason to do it. I am going to build a ski steer here soon are there any more pics of your skid steer. also what type of hydro pumps and motors did you use. I currently have a motor that I think will work and a couple of old cheek plates that I think I can build the quick attach plate with. Going to need some hoses and a line relief for sure.
Looks good, the main thing I can see that might need some more reinforcement is the 3 point mounts, the angle for the top link may fold one way or the other over time if there is any elevation change, and I'm pretty sure the lower link pins are going to twist the angle iron judging by the equipment I have that has been acquired used and home . hi guys i was arfter some freee plans to build like a dingo/skid steer type thing or a mini bobcat. it dose not have to look great but its just something to help me out with my motocross track (moving all the dirt and that type of thing) i have . My father in law has a Case skid steer, model 1838, that he recently bought to help load wood from his tree jobs. It came with a regular bucket, two sets of forks, and a clam style bucket. The clam bucket doesnt really work that well in 'grabbing' chunks or stick of wood and loading it so i'm helping him build two additional attachments for the .
