I would be replacing an old 600 bobcat that is tired. It looks like a clean machine that hasn't been abused and I know some of the history of the machine, whic is a plus. A lot of the time you can find the Bobcat part number and do a search on-line and find aftermarket parts. Also, I always check Bobcat for the parts. Theres a good chance on that vintage machine that the bushings in the control rods and between the steer levers on the rockshaft near your calves is all shot. Replacing them will be a huge help. Theres a source on ebay who makes all sort of parts for them.
Gene, all older bobcat machines are chain driven. I'm not sure on the different models numbers, but some had hydraulic moters driving the chain drive mechanism, some mechincal . . . something to look into further if you want a true hydro drive system . . .
