Get out of the seat or unbuckle and it loses power to the solenoid. On some of the Caterpillar drive motors I worked on, the parking brake was spring applied, hydraulically released. On the center of the brake cover, there would be a plug, through which a puller bolt could be installed to compress the spring, & release the brake. Parking brake engages while in motion. With the john deere manual i did all the test for the seat belt warning light circut test points and all turned out ok. Does anybody have access to Service Guard for a schematic on the park brake circuit for a 260 B skid steer S/N 928415 ? If you release the brake with the lap belt on, it goes about 10 feet then locks up and kills the engine faster than you can release the travel levers.
