299D1 Skid Steer (Serial: GTC00593) Machine History: 10/29/2022 Replaced engine with CAT Reman; 09/11/2023 Had CAT come out to an island job to troubleshoot and run a forced regen. It was in limp mode prior, and couldn’t preform a regen. After the forced regen we were able to get it off the island, and appeared to be working well for a short .

There's a guy around here that has a LT40 that he charges by the hour with no support equipment. We had a skid steer, loader tractor, and a borrowed 914. With two guys, my brother and i and that much equipment, the mill was never stopped for long. Always had a log ready to go, slabs went on the skid, boards on the tractor, rinse, repeat. A user asks for help with the quick coupler switch not working on a Cat 299D skid steer. Other users suggest checking the voltage, the relays, the circuit breaker and the connectors. Good people to deal with regarding custom wiring harnesses for skid-steer . CAT 299D2 skid steer, S/N . On Page 2 of the third thread is a direct quote from a member and owner of a 299D2 - "Cat service said if it's hard parts it would be covered under warranty for 5yrs and 3000 hrs". IMHO that 5yr/3k hours would be from the machine being new and would not simply apply to the original purchaser. Can't hurt to ask your dealer.
Having gone thru the same thing back a few years ago that you are doing now, I will give you my experience as I tested the 299 and 289, SL95, TL10 and 12, NH C238 and Bobcat 870 and 770. BTW- do not get hung up on lifting capability. For farm use, a good all around unit is best. It will start up and run fine for 15-20 minutes and then all of a sudden loose power. I keep getting these codes on my moniter..HELP!!! E459-2 96-3 3700-3 2687-8 2688-8 E232-1 E361-3 E391-1 E459-2 The 365 Cat someone posted on here said it was a Perkins. Probably stamped Cat. All three of my current skid steer and CTL machines are SCR (one of those 3 is new so that isn't really fair to use that as an example). I had one issue with the SCR on a 2018 model that was covered under a fix it program a couple months ago. Please help if you can. I have a 2018 cat 299d2 with 2622 hours on it. Machine just came from Cat dealer and had the 2000 hour service done (00+). It works great except for low flow wants to overheat the hydraulics (210+ degrees). I have used 2 different attachments and they both made the hydraulics overheat ( brush cutter and broom).
