What I found with my searches was one of three things: either people recommend the Wolf Paw tires, or what I am looking at which is the Solideal Lifemaster. I got a quote online (70.00 for 4 including freight) from Midwest Equipment Sales, LLC . Common sense to some degree - tires give you ground contact maybe 3' wide X 1' long (in 4 localized areas) whereas tracks give you complete ground coverage 2-3' wide X 6-8' long. 98 posts Skid steer traction Jay your problem is your tires are still too wide. Thinner and taller with an aggressive tread is the only way in the snow. I have a New Holland Ls185B. You can get a set of 16 X 5.5 8 hole 4.15" heavy duty rims, I got mine through Solideal USA. They actually are tow motor rims, so I'm not sure if you can get them elsewhere. Go narrower as well. We just plowed today it is the first real snow we have had since I put the 10' pusher on our 873, it was pushing the snow with snow coming over the pusher, & the stuff was heavy snow, & slick underneath I was totally impressed. With stick 12x16.5, it often had a hard time of pushing the 8' angle plow. 217 posts
