But considering the initial cost, repair cost, downtime, if you were only going to own just one in a . Have a customer who has a project clearing 80 acres of small brush and trees. Trees from 6 inches on down to 1 inch. Farmer wants all roots removed. Any suggestions on small roots. Track skid steer with grapple rack maybe?? He has dozers, excavators. To me if you are tending to large fields or farming get a tractor. If you are up keeping property and have less than an acre or so to plow maybe you can get by with just a skid steer. Skid steers can prepare land for later use with a tractor.
