ASV's were popular here in my neighborhood when they first came out, a lot of farmers bought them, some contractors as well, I've run all the rubber tracked skid steers, when you compare them to rubber tired skid steers, the dollars per hour climb considerably. ASV's are wonderful machines to run- for someone else! The bigger models are just not built heavy enough for the HP they are producing- look at the Fecon that was mentioned. 150 hp and it probably weighs twice as much. Drive: fast, comfortable and 85% accurate. The old push pull sticks on the 1845C or the NW always seemed to be dead nuts. The pilot of the ASV are great, easy and you can be precise to the limits of the pilot which again is pretty darn good. Were other pilots better? Maybe, but I couldn't quantify how much better if any. We ran comparison tests at ASV proving grounds in Minnesota, operating ASV and competitor skid steers and CTLs in the same conditions. Looking for advice on the the comparison between the ASV 75HD & Kubota 95-2s. The unit will be used for grading, Bush hogging & the occasional mulching Jobs. Menu I'm curious to know if anyone has experience with the new 2015/2016 ASV skid loaders or track loaders and which diesel you have. Perkins, Deutz or Cummins...seems like they use a few. Do the machines compare to top end machines?

The ASV's look like nice machines and supposedly are the smoothest ride, but I'm told that their undercarriages are their weakpoint. Was told that they use plastic parts in the track carriage assemblies and they cost ,000 to rebuild the undercarriages, blah blah blah. Both models have good breakout and lift arm force ratings plus class-leading operating capacities that make these among the most productive and capable skid steers available, says ASV. Each machine has a 10.5-in. ground clearance, more than 2 in. higher than similarly sized skid steers, notes the company. With more operating weight, reach, tipping load and breakout force than the RS-75, the vertical lift VS-75 skid steer is perfect for loading, rental, construction, landscaping and snow-removal applications.
ASV says it designed the new skid steers for easy maintenance. The engine, filters and other daily check points can be quickly accessed through a swing-out door and the cooling system.
