No problems so far. The hydraulics are strong, its easy to maintain. The ground speed is a lil slower than our Bobcat skid steers.
Hello, I am getting ready to purchase a new skid steer. The two choices I am down to are a New Holland LS 170 or a John Deer 250 series 2. Both seem to be very similar machines and the price is about the same. I wanted to know if anyone had any comments about the two and wich one I should lean towards. Does John Deere have some New Skid steers coming out or they already out or what? Their D Series machine and I have a picture of new CTL.
It couldn't pick up as much as the deere. I had some natural stone that probably weighed 4500 lbs and the CAT couldnt get it off the ground,the deere could lift it to the back of my truck. It has a two-speed transmission which makes you have to switch to speed up and slow down which is annoying. Also, the bucket quick connects switch was finicky.. i highly recommend the ASV/Terex line of skid steers, they have the lowest ground pressure and are incredibly easy to get used to, we have two of them, a older ASV RC30 and the new terex version (terex bought out ASV) both are 30 horse power and run amazing. we can spread a tandem tandem load of topsoil in 20 min tops with one machine, they .

I've heard nothing about this :confused: High flow attachments are expensive and so I don't want to have to upgrade a skid steer and add an attachment at the same time. Although at the time being, I don't have a high flow attachment.
