I suspect bad gas struts, but there is no operators manual with the unit and I don't want to break something by using a hoist if there is something holding it.If the machine will not run you can hold the ride control and float buttons while using a crane or the like to manually raise the loader arms. My 2006 CAT 242B has the same cab tilt procedure . place supports under the rear of the machine, remove the two 15/16" nuts from the front inside corners of the cab, close the door, tilt the cab upward and ensure cab support lever is in the engaged position.
