The company I work for gets rid of the excavators between 12000 and 14000 hours. These excavators work in tough conditions and hold up very good. Its like everything else some people like one brand of tractor and other people like another brand.

We currently have a JCB 8040ZTS we bought new mid 2015(2015 model). Currently sitting at 900 hours and aside from a minor fuel pick-up issue its been a great machine for us. Runs and operates great, and does everything we want it to. We've had several people that own similar sized Cat's and Bobcats run our machine and compliment how smooth it is.

I'm having a problem with my hydraulics on my 2010 JCB JS200 excavator. This problem started after my valve bank got reconditioned. I had the stick hydraulic cylinder that got damaged and some of the broken pieces got back into the valve bank so I had it cleaned and checked. I also had a new cylinder manufactured. JCB 8018 is a small machine. Limited uses but if it suits your needs that's great. JCB is from UK with increasing dealer network here (local dealer is important). If the place you're buying it sells JCB they should throw in the door and glass or at least get you a deal. Grading bucket may over work this machine beyond it's capability.
